Press kit
Nobody's written about us yet. Here's what to write.
We're not on a tour. No demo days, no embargo emails, no PR firm. But everything a journalist, podcaster or blogger could need is below — boilerplate, logos, screenshots, brand-use rules, and two reachable founders. Take what you need. Tell us when it runs.
In the news
No coverage yet. This page is honest about that.
We're a small team shipping the mapdap iOS app out of a small office in Tallinn. We haven't pitched a single publication. When we do get written about, the first three quotes will land in the slots on the right — with a link, a date, and the writer's byline.
If you've published a piece and want it here, send the link to press@mapdap.com.

Use any of them, edit freely, attribute "mapdap OÜ" once for the record.
mapdap is a hyperlocal social chat app for iOS. Every conversation is anchored to a geohash zone near you — you only see and message people who are physically nearby.
mapdap is a hyperlocal chat app for iOS built by mapdap OÜ in Tallinn, Estonia. It turns the physical world into a map of conversations: every block has a chat room attached to it, and the only people who can see or join are the ones physically nearby. The app rolls out city by city; current coverage and live status are published on the Cities page.
mapdap is a hyperlocal social chat app for iOS, built out of Tallinn, Estonia. Unlike follower-graph apps, mapdap has no feed, no follower count, and no algorithm: conversations are anchored to a geohash-bounded "zone" — usually a city block or a venue — and you can only see and message people who are physically inside the same zone. mapdap OÜ is a registered Estonian private limited company (registry code 17400755) and has taken no outside investment to date. The team can be reached at press@mapdap.comor via the founders' direct email addresses listed on this page.
Using the name & the logo.
Do
- Write the name lowercase:
mapdap. Even at the start of a sentence. - Keep at least

- Pronounce it "map-dap" — two syllables, equal stress.
Don't
- Don't title-case the name.
Mapdap,MapDap,MapDAPare all incorrect. - Don't separate the syllables: not
Map Dapormap-dapin headlines. - Don't recolour the wordmark. Brand emerald only; black/white wordmark on rare monochrome layouts.
- Don't put the mark on a busy photo without a 6% black scrim behind it.
- Don't rotate, skew, outline, or add a drop shadow to the mark.
Interview the founders
Two people. Both reachable for a call this week.
We do interviews in English, Arabic, or Estonian. Print, podcast, or recorded video — all fine. Reply within 48h is the rule, usually much faster. No PR gatekeeping.
