Our biggest update yet. Step into any neighborhood without installing the app, let on-device Apple Intelligence read the vibe of your city, and reach mapdap from your Home Screen, Spotlight, Siri, and the Camera. Plus background zone alerts, Genmoji in chat, and a long list of polish.

  • Neighborhood without installing — Tap a mapdap link and drop straight into a neighborhood — a live map of the zone and its chat — through a lightweight App Clip. Sign in with Apple to join the conversation, then get the full app whenever you are ready.
  • On-device intelligence — Apple Intelligence now sorts City Vibes into themes and writes a private, on-device summary of what your area is feeling today — none of it ever leaves your iPhone.
  • Widget + Live Activity — Add the Nearby Vibes widget to your Home or Lock Screen and watch it refresh with what is buzzing around you. When you post, a Live Activity follows the upload — on your phone, CarPlay, Mac, and Apple Watch.
  • Siri, Spotlight & the Camera — Search a city in Spotlight, ask Siri, peek at nearby vibes in an interactive snippet, share a vibe from Visual Intelligence in the Camera, and long-press the app icon for quick actions.
  • Genmoji in chat — Drop your own Genmoji right into zone chat — in messages, replies, and reply previews — so the conversation looks exactly like you mean it.

  • A new chat filter quietly catches offensive language across the app and the App Clip.

City Vibes on the map

City Vibes now live on a real map, your city is a search away from anywhere on your phone, and you can get your verification code over WhatsApp. Plus a wave of polish across Nearby Zones, Arabic, and a fix that keeps your premium status honest.

  • City Vibes on a real map — City Vibes now sit on a native map. Pan around your city, tap a pin to peek at the vibe, and tap again to open it in full.
  • Find your city from anywhere — Search for a city in Spotlight, ask Siri, or open a mapdap link — and land straight in that city’s feed, even on a fresh install.
  • Verify over WhatsApp — Prefer WhatsApp? Get your verification code there instead of SMS, and switch methods any time during sign-in.
  • Nearby Zones, clearer — Live activity badges show which zones are buzzing, and tapping a zone reframes the map right onto it.

  • Premium status now updates immediately when a subscription expires, is cancelled, or is refunded — no more lingering premium screens.
  • Location now re-resolves correctly after you grant permission or move between cities.
  • Smoother chat scrolling — fixed a feedback loop and a stray input-bar shadow at the bottom of the screen.
  • Navigation titles are now consistent across every screen.
  • Arabic polish: “vibe” is now written ڤايب throughout, with new translations for empty states.
  • Emoji reactions now accept multi-character emoji like flags and skin tones.

A fast follow-up to 1.0.0. Smoother chat, sharper zone boundaries, and a handful of fixes from the first two weeks of feedback.

  • Faster chat delivery — Messages now appear in your zone within milliseconds of being sent — same network, half the latency.
  • Sharper zone edges — We re-tuned the geohash math so the zone you are in is the one your chat actually shows.

  • Vibes no longer briefly show the wrong author avatar while loading.
  • Sign in with Apple now respects the system Arabic locale on first launch.
